A Place That Stays With You – The Making of the Brand Film
At Aahana, luxury is not built, it’s grown. It rises from the soil, is shaped by the wind, and moves through the forest.
Our brand film, A Place That Stays With You, is a deeply personal creative collaboration that captures what it truly means to offer heartfelt luxury rooted in nature.
This film isn’t just a visual showcase it’s a cinematic love letter to our land, our people, and our philosophy.
Why We Made This Film
Aahana is more than a resort, it’s a lived experience. And we knew we needed more than beautiful images to convey what we truly are. We needed a film that could reflect our soul.
Modern luxury is often defined by minimalism and perfection. At Aahana, we define it differently. For us, luxury is sincerity. It is in the citronella that keeps bugs away. The UV water purification that ensures you never leave the pool with red eyes. It’s in the dining table crafted from a tree that lived its full life and now lives again.
This film is a journey through those details—some small, some grand—all stitched together by philosophy and feeling.
Choosing our CREATIVE COLLABORATORS
We partnered with Filmmaker Afroz Khan and his team at Orange Elephant, not just for their Creative Skills but their Sensibilities. This wasn’t a commissioned white-label project, it was a a co-creation between two creatives. The first conversations that started with Afroz were not so much about the visuals but about his philosophical approach to the film and his answer, gave us everything we needed to know.Having worked with them earlier on a brand campaign for Vogue Magazine, we already had the trust and alignment; we trusted that Orange Elephant and Afroz would be able to tell our story gently and honestly – while making it aesthetically outstanding.
Letting the Forest Lead
We came into the forest with a script, but the land had its own plan. Some of our most beautiful shots came from responding to the light, the wind, the unexpected. Our team stayed nimble, open, and reverent. The model braved cold waters, the crew waited for perfect golden light, and we never compromised the emotion of a shot.
The result? Every frame feels lived in. Nothing feels staged. Nature wasn’t the backdrop—it was the lead.
What We Hope You’ll See
This film is about you. The traveler. Every detail, every piece of design, every decision we made was centered around the question: How will this make someone feel?
Our voice speaks to you directly. Dear You, it says. Because we want you to step into the story, to see yourself in it.
We want you to feel what we feel: the emotion of returning to a place that recognizes you, restores you, and remains with you
