General
Q: Where is Aahana located?
Aahana Resort & Spa sits on the direct boundary of Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, spread across 13.5 acres of restored forest where the park begins at our fence line. We are 15 minutes from Dhela and Jhirna, two of Corbett’s most active safari zones, and roughly 5 hours from Delhi. Unlike the cluster of resorts packed along the Kosi River in Dhikuli, where properties share boundary walls one after another, Aahana sits in a quieter, more private part of Corbett. You reach us without crossing through Ramnagar’s town traffic, arriving directly into forest rather than a row of neighbouring hotels.
Q: What makes Aahana unique?
Aahana is built on 13.5 acres the Tripathi family restored from bare earth before welcoming a single guest. What stands today, 4,500 trees, 250 recorded bird species, and 50 butterfly species, is the result of that founding act. As a family-owned property staffed 99% by people from the surrounding villages, we offer four-bedroom Private Pool Villas with temperature-controlled Bisazza-tiled pools, the only Spa L’Occitane en Provence in Jim Corbett, farm-to-table dining from our organic kitchen garden, and 15-minute access to the Dhela and Jhirna safari zones. We are also set apart by where we are not: away from the crowded riverside hotel strip, on the forest boundary itself, with unobstructed canopy from every room.
Q: Is Aahana a pet-friendly resort?
We do not accommodate pets. Aahana is a wildlife-first environment on the direct boundary of Jim Corbett National Park, and domestic animals pose a risk to both the local wildlife and the safety of your pet. This is a deliberate choice rooted in our responsibility to the forest we share a fence line with.
Q: What is the best time to visit Jim Corbett National Park?
There is no bad time, but each season offers something different. November through March brings cool, clear days, excellent wildlife activity, and full access to all safari zones. March to June is peak season: warmer days push wildlife toward water sources, making sightings frequent. July through October is monsoon: lush, green, and quieter, with Dhela and Jhirna remaining open year-round, a rare advantage in Corbett where most zones close from mid-June to mid-October. The forest changes character by season, and each has its own reward.
Q: Do you have a river view?
No, Aahana is a forest resort, and that is the point. Rather than a river view shared with dozens of neighbouring hotels, Aahana offers 13.5 acres of restored forest on the direct boundary of Jim Corbett National Park, with 250 recorded bird species and unobstructed forest canopy from every room. The park begins at the fence line. Guests who want to feel genuinely inside Corbett’s forest, rather than beside its traffic, choose Aahana.
