Jim Corbett National Park spans over 1,300 square kilometres across various safari zones: Jhirna, Dhela, Bijrani, Garjia, Sitabani, Phato, and Dhikala. Aahana’s location near the Dhela and Jhirna zones gives guests access to two of the most popular areas for wildlife sightings. Jhirna and Dhela are open year-round and are especially known for sloth bear and tiger sightings. Dhela has seen a significant rise in tiger activity over recent years and is increasingly favoured by naturalists for its relative quiet and density of sightings. Corbett holds the highest density of Bengal tigers among India’s national parks, but the forest offers far more than the prospect of a tiger sighting. Leopards, many times, sighted near the buffer zones at dusk. Gharial and mugger crocodiles occupy the Ramganga riverbed.
