Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Jim Corbett National Park is India’s first and one of its most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and later renamed in honour of the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett, the park remains a symbol of India’s rich natural heritage and wildlife conservation efforts.
Spanning over 1,300 square kilometres, Corbett is celebrated for hosting the highest number of Bengal tigers among all Indian national parks.
Beyond the majestic big cats, the park is home to a breathtaking array
of wildlife, including 600+ bird species, 55 mammal species
25 reptile species and 500+ tree varieties –
Lush sal forests,
riverine belts, and expansive grasslands.

The park is divided into seven distinct safari zones, each offering a unique landscape and biodiversity. Among these, three zones—Jhirna, Dhela, and Pakhro—remain open throughout the year, ensuring an unforgettable jungle adventure regardless of the season.
