Aahana’s Next Chapter: A Story of Transformation Rooted in the Wild

At its core, Aahana has always been a place of change.
Long before it became known as
Aahana Resort, it was an idea born from conviction. Kamal Tripathi, our founder, didn’t just see a barren piece of land, he saw what it could become. He wasn’t chasing trends or hospitality accolades. He was starting a quiet revolution, one that would restore land, revive ecosystems, and reimagine what it means to offer luxury in the heart of the wild.

From Barren Land to a Living Forest

The origin of Aahana was never about building a resort. It was about rewilding and enabling natural processes to shape the land, repair damaged soil, and bring back life where there was none. What stands today as one of the best luxury resorts in Jim Corbett National Park began with thousands of trees, planted one by one with intention, not for landscaping, but for legacy.

We watched as the birds returned. Soil softened. And a space emerged that held not just rooms, but stories.

The Era of Metamorphosis

But change doesn’t stand still.

As Aahana grew, so did the world around us and the need to evolve became clear. It wasn’t about doing more. It was about doing right. A deeper clarity emerged: to align what we looked  like with what we’ve always stood for.

We didn’t need reinvention for reinvention’s sake. What we needed was to express Aahana in its truest form: timeless, sustainable, rooted in hospitality that feels like home. This is where our transformation began.

Behind the Change

Reimagining a brand that is already loved is both delicate and demanding. It began with questions, not about what we wanted to change, but what we needed to protect.

We started from the inside. Revisiting guest experiences. Observing the way light fell on our forest paths. Listening to the stories our team tells every day. From these truths, we began to redesign.

That’s when HMLC came into the picture. Their sensitivity in understanding Aahana’s soul and translating it into a refreshed visual identity was essential. From curating mood boards that reflected our evolving values, to redesigning touchpoints that speak a softer, more resonant language, they helped shape not just how we look, but how we feel.

Reinvention Meets Authenticity

What followed was a careful dance between change and continuity. Aahana’s rebranding wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about tone, intention, and clarity–representing our evolution and growth–telling the new story.

We partnered with creators who shared our philosophy. One of them was Orange Elephants, the production house behind our new brand film. Their lens captured Aahana not as a destination, but as a living, breathing sanctuary. Together, we explored how to present Aahana as it’s never been seen before and without losing what makes it so quietly powerful.

Every frame of the film, A Place That Stays With You, was designed to show, not tell, the essence of our forest-born luxury. No loud branding. No over-styled sets. Just truth, beauty, and care

Turning the Page

Watching Aahana transform has been both nostalgic and cathartic. This next chapter doesn’t erase our past, instead it honors it.

It’s not just a new look. It’s a deeper expression of who we’ve always been: a place that breathes with the forest, where luxury isn’t declared—it’s felt. A resort where your wellness is woven into the land, where hospitality is from the heart, and where time slows down to match the pace of nature.

In a region full of beauty, Aahana remains quietly distinct among the best resorts in Jim Corbett, not because we try to stand out, but because we choose to stay true.

As we turn the page, we step into a future that’s not just new–it’s more us. More rooted. More real. Still made of the forest.
