Aahana’s Next Chapter: A Story of Transformation Rooted in the Wild

At its core, Aahana has always been a place of change. We have grown much like the forest around has grown and matured with time. Over the years our inventory has increased, so have the experiences, and the offerings at Aahana. Our new chapter is symbolised with a new logo inspired from a Banyan Tree, because much like the tree itself, our growth has been considered and brought us closer to our roots.

Long before the resort became known as Aahana Resort & Spa, it was an idea born from conviction and a dream. Mr. Kamal N. Tripathi, our founder, didn’t just see a barren piece of land, he envisioned how he could transform it. He wasn’t chasing trends or hospitality accolades. He was starting a revolution, the quiet kind, for the future of the hospitality industry. One that would be restorative, one that revives ecosystems, and reimagine what it means to offer luxury in the heart of the wild.

From Barren Land to a Living Forest

The origin of Aahana was never about building a resort. It was about rewilding and enabling natural processes to shape the land, repair damaged soil, and bring back life where there was none. The locals believed that the land where Aahana is built will never be brought back to life, that nature had failed the test of time. Where everyone saw damaged soil, Mr. Tripathi saw the opportunity to repair it. What stands today as one of the most known resorts in Corbett National Park began with the idea of planting thousands of saplings, planted one by one with intention, not for landscaping, but for legacy. A legacy with restoration at its heart.

The trees came first, then the birds, then tiny creatures, and finally after that we began building the rooms. And a space emerged that held not just rooms, but stories.

The Era of Metamorphosis

But change doesn’t stand still.
As Aahana grew, so did the world around us and the need to evolve became clear. It wasn’t about doing more. Instead it was about doing right. Over the years, we increased our inventory, crafted more experiences, and brought in more local experts to expand our offerings. We grew, much like the branches of a tree that find the sunlight, find space, and cohabitate with their surroundings. With that a deeper clarity emerged: to align what we looked like with what we’ve always stood for.

We didn’t need reinvention for reinvention’s sake. What we needed was to express Aahana in its truest form: timeless, sustainable, rooted in hospitality that feels like home. This is where our transformation began.

Behind the Change

What followed was a careful dance between change and continuity. Aahana’s rebranding wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about tone, intention, and clarity–representing our evolution and growth–telling the new story.

We partnered with creators who shared our philosophy. One of them was Orange Elephants, the production house behind our new brand film. Their lens captured Aahana not as a destination, but as a living, breathing sanctuary. Together, we explored how to present Aahana as it’s never been seen before and without losing what makes it so quietly powerful.

Every frame of the film, A Place That Stays With You, was designed to show, not tell, the essence of our forest-born luxury. Subtle branding that captured who we were. No over-styled sets. Just truth, beauty, and care. We showcased the morning rituals of Aahana, how the light fell on the lotus pond, the buggy that takes our guests around the village, the spacious balconies where guests journal, and places that they experience

Turning the Page

Watching Aahana transform has been both nostalgic and cathartic. This next chapter doesn’t erase our past, instead it honors it. Honors a journey that started from a barren land to a restored forest. It captures the essence behind all decisions that we make for the people and the planet.

It’s not just a new look. It’s a deeper expression of who we’ve always been: a place that breathes with the forest, where luxury isn’t declared—it’s felt. A resort where guests’ wellness is woven into the land, where hospitality is from the heart, and where time slows down to match the pace of nature.

In a region full of beauty, Aahana remains quietly distinct as the most private and personal way to experience Corbett National Park. This is not because we try to stand out, but because we choose to stay true. True to our people, to our planet and to our guests. They make us who we are, and it’s their experiences that help carry the spirit of Aahana, forever.

As we turn the page, we step into a future that’s not just new–it’s more us. More rooted. More real. Still, made of the forest.
